Islington Fairness Commission – laying the foundations for a fairer Islington
In 2010, when Labour took control of the Council, we immediately found ourselves faced with unprecedented cuts from the Tory/Libdem Government to our budget. We set up a Fairness Commission*, co-chaired by Councillor Andy Hull and Professor Richard Wilkinson, of Spirit Level fame.
